I'm gonna be on TV

I just sent out my press releases and the local TV news program with Charity Bailey is going to do a story about our Mini Walk this Friday Morning. I'm happy and nervous. I haven't heard anything back from the newspapers so I'm not sure how all that works out. I'll let you know. So any of you in the Chico/Paradise/Oroville/Redding area tune in at (oh yea, here's the kicker) 5:30am on channels 12 or 24 for my interview. Let me know how I look.

I just accomplished my 3rd AWBC walk, having walked over 90 miles in three years and I've raised over $6000 so far. My mother-in-law is a BC survivor. I walk because I can't walk away. I believe that helping now will make a difference tomorrow.

Why I Walk

I cannot begin to explain all the reasons I walk to find a cure for Breast Cancer. I walk in Honor of some like my MIL Karen , my friend Jenni's three aunts and Margie Cash all SURVIVORS. I walk in memory of others like Pinhead, a family friend, and Monica Cooper who I never had the pleasure of meeting who were all taken from us to soon. I walk because

"I can't walk away"

because

"Its about the MISSION not about the MILES."

Essencially I walk for the Avon Foundation because the $$$ we raise, over 78% goes back to the community and because it cares for the WHOLE woman (or man) and thier family not dropping $ into research only.
